Substrate Showdown: Epson Hot Press Bright VS Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Ultra Smooth

Smooth Matte Fine Art papers deliver dreamy low-contrast images that appear to have developed within the surface of a luscious cotton substrate.

Epson Hot Press exhibits an excellent black point creating good contrast for a matte paper. The delicate matte-finish surface can show scuffs when handled especially in the darker areas of a print.

Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Ultra Smooth has a super durable surface finish and lighter blacks that produce lower-contrast prints. This paper is especially good for working with photo prints as the substrate for mixed media processes.
